At RCP we believe high quality clarinets should be affordable, especially those that are used to perform the greatest masterpieces written for the instrument. So, the past few years we've been hard at work on developing an affordable Basset A clarinet.
The Ridenour Lyrique Basset A Clarinet enables you to play the Mozart Clarinet Concerto and Mozart Clarinet Quintet as Mozart originally wrote them for clarinetist Anton Stadler. The range extends the low register to a written "C" (concert "A" on the first space of the bass clef) below written low "E" (concert "C#"). Unlike manufacturers that also offer only the Basset A as a complete instrument, we at RCP make it easy for you to afford, offering it to you in not one, but three possible options.

Option 2.Order the basset A lower joint by itself.
Unless you own a Lyrique A clarinet, this will require you to send us your present A clarinet so it can be matched
with our basset A lower joint. The acoustical matching and set up will be personally done by Tom Ridenour.
The basset A lower joint is acoustically compatible with the Buffet R-13 and Festival A clarinets, and most Yamaha A clarinet models.
