The movie you are about to see was recorded in one continuous take, not ten or fifteen from which the best attempt was selected. One take and one take only. There are no changes of camera angles or starting and stopping of any kind: what you see is what was there and nothing more.
I personally certify the following:
1. I could see neither the reed, the fninsiing tool nor my hands at any time in the finishing process.
2. Prior to shooting the reed was made harder by reshaping the tip with a common emory board, making it play considerably worse than most commercial reeds.
3. No changes or alterations in either video or audio has been made. Everything is presented unaltered from what the camera recorded. I even retained the audio distortion from too much audio gain in the interest of continuity.
Why have I done this?
I have done this to demonstrate to those who do not feel confident that they can improve their reeds by working on them how easy it is to do with the ATG methodeven someone blind can do it!
The ATG system is being used by many of the world's greatest clarinetists and saxophonists and has given them lives that are worry-free as far as being able to have good reeds. But this same method is one anyone on virtually any skill level can use to make their reeds remarkably better.
